World Generation Restoration Center

This is a world ecosystem restoration flagship project of KERA, GtN and UN Decade AgriFood. We aim at becoming a global benchmark for restoration science research, ecological agriculture, environmental education, training camps, and sustainable tourism.

Core Elements:

  • (i) Outdoor Area - Restoration Garden: A fusion of botanic Sanctuary, an animal rescue center, a demonstration farm, and Generation Restoration Camp.
    • (a) Botanical Sanctuary
    • - Protect endangered species
    • - Support other restoration projects: supporting seed propagation, large-scale seedling production and future integration projects.
    • (b) Restoration Model Farm
    • - Develop agroforestry techniques compatible with Kenya's climate and soil.
    • - Restore biodiversity and offer cultivated food.
    • - Visitor participation in planting and harvesting.
    • c) Animal Rescue Center
    • - Rescue and rehabilitate animals for reintroduction into wildlife or create a research center for unfit animals.
    • - Not a zoo but an interactive habitat restoration area.
    • (d) Generation Restoration Field School: practical and hands-on training area.
    • (e) Bee Sanctuary: embodies honey-bee model farm and training.
    • (f) Climate-smart Indigenous Chicken Hub: featuring large chicken farm, hatcheries, animal feed plant, and farm stores and offices.
  • (ii) Indoor Area - Generation Restoration Center: Restoration Institute and School, Conference Center, and Generation Restoration Hub
    • (a) Restoration Institute: focuses on restoration research and education
    • (b) Generation Restoration Hub ( AI Center) : Generation Restoration wall, restoration projects display.
    • c) Conference Center: Hosting global environmental and eco-preneurship conferences.
    • Other Outdoor and Indoor features:
    • - Indoor - School: Theoretical courses, indoor, indoor scientific experiments, and AI technology learning.
    • - Outdoor- Garden Camp Area: Physical fitness and practical ecosystem restoration skills.
    • - Outdoor- Garden Area: scientific practice and experimental learning.
  • (iii) Generation Restoration Hotel & Resorts
    • (a) Generation Restoration Hotel: featuring a 5-star hotel to accommodate large-scale conferences and eco-tourism.
    • (b) Luxury Resort: For high-end guests, food sourced from self-sustaining farms.
