This is a youth and young women led filming initiative that focuses on traversing across the vulnerable rural communities we have mapped out to restore, regenerate and flourish economically, socially and ecologically. Our youthful crew of media and environmental professionals visit various sites and rural communities to learn, photograph, videograph, and showcase the hidden gems and stories on critical place-based landscape degradation, and ongoing effective community-led restoration projects.
With the mission to bring to light the status of place-based landscape degradation and ongoing conservation and restoration efforts for sustainable shared-visioning and on-the-ground actioning, we aim to inspire local communities and stakeholders to increase their respective restoration actions while disseminating good practices.
We aim to give junior professionals and university student finalists the opportunity to have hands-on filming and restoration experiences as a headstart in their journalism and environmental sustainability careers. The project provides these young professionals with all the resources they need ( food, transport, cameras, and monthly stipend) to ensure they thrive in their early careers.
